I’m not desperate enough to settle for someone who makes me feel like crap — it’s just not going to happen. If you want to be with me, then be with me 100 percent or don’t be with me at all — and if you don’t know what you want, then please leave me alone until you figure it out because I’m officially done with men who send mixed signals.
1. I DON’T HAVE TIME TO WASTE ON TERRIBLE GUYS.
I have a job, friends, family and passions that need my attention. I’m not going to waste time examining your text messages when I could be out making money and continuing to build an incredible life.
2. IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO BE CLEAR.
If you like me, ask me out on a date. “Boyfriend” isn’t a toxic word, so don’t pretend that you couldn’t care less about me when you want something serious. If the opposite is true and you just want someone to have sex with, walk away now.
3. I REFUSE TO DATE A LIAR.
You’re basically lying about liking me when you purposely take hours to respond to a text or act like you’re interested in another girl. I’m sorry, but I’m not willing to date someone who’s comfortable being a complete loser to me.
4. I WANT A REAL MAN.
I’m too old to date children. I don’t want an immature man-child who pretends that he’s too busy to see me. I want someone who’s willing to make time for me, even if that means losing out on some guy time with his buddies.
5. I NEVER READ THE SIGNALS RIGHT ANYWAY.
I’ll be honest, I don’t understand mixed signals. If you act like you don’t like me, then I’m going to pull away from you because I’ll assume that it’s what you really want. I’ll have no idea that you were just trying to play hard to get.
6. I WON’T PLAY GAMES ANYMORE.
Men who send mixed signals wouldn’t want me anyway because I’m not willing to play their games. If I like you, I’m going to tell you. There won’t be any back and forth banter because I’m going to be honest about how I feel from the start.
7. I WANT SOMEONE WHO WOULDN’T DREAM OF LOSING ME.
If you’re sending mixed signals, then you obviously don’t care if you push me away. Well, call me picky, but I don’t want to date someone who could take me or leave me. I want someone who’s willing to do whatever it takes to call me theirs.
8. MIXED SIGNALS ARE TOO STRESSFUL.
I’ve put up with men who have sent mixed signals before. I spent more time than I’d like to admit examining their texts, searching through their social media profiles, and dressing up to impress them. I don’t want to do that anymore, because it’s just too tiring.
9. FLIRTING SHOULDN’T MAKE ME FEEL AWFUL.
Flirting is supposed to be fun. But when a man makes me think he likes me one day and that he hates me the next day, it drives me mental. It’s not a pleasant experience.
10. I LOVE MYSELF TOO MUCH TO PUT UP WITH BS.
I deserve more than backhanded compliments and rescheduled plans. I deserve a boyfriend who treats me like an equal. I deserve a boyfriend who loves me and would never dream of hurting me.
