He Doesn’t Want Love, He’s Just Lonely

He doesn’t wan’t love. He doesn’t want you. He doesn’t want to give you gifts just because it’s a Tuesday and he wants to see you smile. He doesn’t want to share his bed with you every single night of the year. He doesn’t want to just kiss your lips or just wrap his arms around you.

No, he doesn’t want to love you. He doesn’t even want to spend time with you, other than the occasional booty call. No, he doesn’t want love at all. He’s just lonely. And he wants instant gratification.

He wants to feel good. He wants to be in control. He wants something, but thats’ not love. He wants a warm body. A comforting face. Reassurance that he can still get what he wants when he wants it.

Does he call you or text you in the evening to make sure you got home safe? No, he waits until it’s 3 am and he’s already drunk on too much whiskey.

Does he call or text you after working, hoping you had a wonderful day, wanting to see you as soon as possible? No, he probably doesn’t even bother.

He doesn’t love you. He doesn’t like you. He doesn’t even care about you.

He’s just tired of being alone for the night. He wants to drink with someone else. He wants to feel like he’s everything anyone could ever want. And he will make you feel special. For a night. And then he will drop you off and be on his way, not even looking back.

Don’t give in to the temptation. Don’t give in to his emoji heart faces. Don’t give in to his lies and his attempts to woo you. Don’t give in to his facade.

You know better. I know you do. You know your worth. You know that you don’t deserve to be treated this way. You know that you don’t deserve to be someone’s one night stand, and that you deserve to be something entirely different.

So don’t believe him when he says he has changed. Don’t believe him when he says he’s different. Don’t believe him when he says he truly wants love. Don’t you dare set yourself up for heartache.

You are instant gratification for him. You are a toy for him. You aren’t a future wife or a lover to him. You aren’t worth a thing to him. He just knows that you’re lonely too. And he knows how to press onto your buttons.

So don’t let him. Don’t say yes. Don’t answer his calls. Don’t pick up the phone. Let him rot in his loneliness. Let him stew in his drunkenness. Let him drown in his lies.

Don’t go down that path. For you are by far the greatest thing that he will never get to have. And you are by far have the most wonderful and beautiful heart, that he will never get to unravel.

And that’s on him.
