This Is The Love I Want

I want a love that is challenging. A love that is difficult because an easy love will never be a worthy love. A love that I would still be chasing even when I am old and wrinkled.

I want a love that is mine. A love that accepts me for who I am despite my many flaws and imperfections. A love that chooses me every day.

I want a love that I can live in awe of. A love that is worthy of receiving all the love I have to give. A love that treasures my love.

I want a love that is compassionate. A love that shares my depth of feelings. A love that is not scared to show their emotions.

I want a love that I can learn from. A love that I can grow from. A love that makes me want to compromise.

I want a love that is understanding. A love that wants to know me to my core. A love that reads between the lines and interprets the words in my silence.

I want a love that is patient. A love that sticks around when I am not myself. A love that stands by my side while I strive to find myself again.

I want a love by my side when the first rays of the sun appear at sunrise. A love by my side when the sky breaks into a million different shades of magnificent at sunset. A love by my side when the full moon casts a purple glow on the moving grey clouds at midnight.

I want a love that is passionate. A love that is a cool breeze on a hot summer afternoon. A love that is a burning fire on a cold winter night.

I want a love that pulls me up when the weight of the world is pushing me down. A love that motivates me to carry on despite every reason not to. A love that inspires me to be the best version of myself.

I want a love that stays. A love that is permanent in a temporary world. A love that makes me understand why it never worked out with anyone else.

I want a love that I can grow old with. A love that makes even the ordinary moments seem special. A love that makes me look back at my life and think that it has been worth it.

This is the love I want and I refuse to settle for anything less.
