Stop Putting Your Worth On Whether Or Not He Chooses You

Waiting around for someone to pick you can become one of the messiest parts of a relationship and it is tempting to hold on to hope that a certain someone will change their mind and realize your worth.

There have been countless times when I have been in this very predicament and have reached out to my friends for advice on this topic, only to find responses like: “you are an amazing girl, of course, he will come around.” or “he would be crazy to not want you in his life.”

I’ll let you in on a little secret:

Don’t listen to this advice ever again.

Do you want the truth?

Remember that feeling when you found him? The sense of complete certainty that he was the one for you? That feeling where you knew you would do anything to have him?

He didn’t feel that, and that’s okay.

The truth is, he is never going to come around. He is not going to wake up one day and decide to want you, in the same way, you want them. You are amazing, but that does not mean that he will pick you.

Be thankful for that! You do not want to be with someone that had to weigh their options before picking you. You do not want to be with someone that needed convincing to choose you. You do not want to be with someone that made you doubt your self-worth. It’s that simple. No person is ever worth losing yourself for.

You are worth so much more than that.

You’re going to find someone who knows with 100% certainty, you are the one. Someone is going to praise the ground you walk on and want to be with you as much as they can.

That is the person you should wait for, the one that sees your worth and will do anything to keep you. Not the guy that makes you wonder what’s wrong with you.

I promise he will come before you know it.

You are amazing, but you are so much more than that. You are a human being with feelings and thoughts and dreams. No man, no matter how you feel about them right now, can take that away from you.

One day, you are going to get what you deserve, and you won’t give the ones that gave you up a second thought, I promise.
