360 Security will ensure that nothing harmful lurks in the web or download files. It can block access to suspicious sites or browser histories, scan your browsing history, keep tabs on the amount of data that you’re using, and even find your missing phone.
The suite includes a firewall and a shredder for data as well with tools to keep your system on a schedule. It will update drivers automatically, has anti-tracking features and provides you with access to technical support with just one click.
The software’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly even though there are many options and settings. The majority of settings are controlled using a large switch, button or checkmark. This is great from an ergonomic standpoint. The program is free and available for both Windows and Mac.
The antivirus does a great job of protecting your PC from malware. Its real-time detection can detect more than 95% of malware and did not cause false positives in my testing. It’s not as robust in level of protection as other products in terms of scans and heuristics.
360 Total Security comes with a number of security and maintenance options. A VPN is available in the premium version. Its heuristic engine detects malware by looking at the program’s behavior, which could be extremely useful particularly if the threat isn’t well-known and doesn’t have a signature yet. The program has a cleanup utility as well as other tune-up programs that can enhance PC performance.
